This course is a completely new home study program especially designed not only to give you a solid managerial-level understanding of every element of the manufacturing process but also to help you prepare for the newest APICS CPIM exam. The course is called
- "Basics of Supply Chain Management."
The course is divided into ten study units, as outlined in the Table of Contents. In each of the ten units, youll be provided with:
- Specific discussion of an area of Supply Chain Management,
- Examples which show you how to apply the principles youve learned,
- One or more skill development exercises in which youll apply your newly-learned skills.
While you are not required to send in your exercises, we encourage you to do so to gain maximum benefit from the course. To receive CEU credit and a Completion Certificate, we do require that the exercises be submitted.
The timing of your study is up to you. Regardless of your start or pace, MGI will review and comment on your work whenever you send it to us. - how to calculate quantities under MRP,
- the three types of production strategies and when each is appropriate,

- how to read balance sheets and income statements,
- the concept of ABC analysis and how to apply it, and much more.
